Betty Quick Receives Distinguished Service Award at 41st Annual Meeting of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association
Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Betty Quick recently received the Distinguished Service Award at the 41st Annual Meeting of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. The award reflects Betty’s significant contributions to the legal profession, and specifically the trusts and estates practice, her extensive work on behalf of a number of charitable organizations and foundations, service as a board member for a large private foundation and a local community foundation, her strong interest in promoting philanthropy, her tenure as President of the North Carolina Bar Association where she promoted the highest professional standards for lawyers, and countless other leadership positions and professional achievements.
The Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association brings together attorneys engaged in estate planning and trust and estate administration, promoting public awareness of estate planning and administration issues and the role of attorneys in these fields. The annual event was held virtually this year and provided CLE programming covering significant estate planning, estate administration and tax issues, with topics suitable for both new and experienced lawyers.
For more than 45 years, Betty Quick has been a well-known and respected advisor to families. She often represents multiple generations within families who have substantial wealth, and she especially enjoys working with her clients’ philanthropic endeavors. Betty’s representation of clients includes not only traditional estate planning and estate administration, but also includes structuring complex estate and gifting plans. She is a Fellow in the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel and previously served as North Carolina State Chair for the College, and has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Trusts and Estates, Tax Law, Litigation – Trusts and Estates and Nonprofit / Charities Law since 1987.
