Victoria Taylor: Designing Professional Development Programs in the Pandemic and Beyond

No doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has made many aspects of work more difficult—including professional development. But PD professionals have adapted to the current circumstances and have found ways to offer substantive professional development training in a virtual environment.

Womble Bond Dickinson Professional Development Director Victoria Taylor has co-authored a new article on “Designing Professional Development Programs in the Pandemic and Beyond”. The article has been published in the most recent edition of the Lex Mundi Knowledge and Learning Quarterly Update. Taylor’s co-author is Devin Lintzenich, Director of Professional Development & Retention at Bass Berry & Sims PLC.

The article includes a case study on how Womble Bond Dickinson held an entirely virtual mock trial (organized by Professional Development Manager Tatiana Garcia) in 2020. The virtual mock trial gave litigation associates the chance to hone their skills. Ripley Rand, a former North Carolina Superior Court Judge, presided over the mock trial as judge.
